Hi there!
Last November I had the opportunity to shoot a wedding in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. It's the furtherest I've traveled for a wedding but definitely enjoyed it and looking forward to traveling more for future destination weddings.
I headed out Saturday morning and drove 4 and a half hours to the AirBnB where Megan and Krys were staying with their families. They had rented the Kings Rive Lodge North in Shell Knob, Missouri for their families to stay together and to have a place to host their reception. After taking some getting ready photos and some detail photos at the lodge, we all headed to Thorncrown Chapel in Eureka Springs for Megan and Krys's ceremony.
I was so excited to shoot a wedding at Thorncrown Chapel. I remember visiting this chapel with my family when I was a kid on vacation. The chapel is open to visitors year round. The only time it's closed to visitors is if it's rented out for a wedding. Chapel can be rented for two hours only for wedding cremonies.
Krys and Megan had the perfect small wedding ceremony at the little glass chapel in the woods. After saying their vows, exchanging rings, and signing the marriage certificate, we spent some time time outside the chapel getting some beautiful shots before heading back to the lodge for dinner, dancing, and cake.
